Children are our future, and it’s time to advocate for their preventative mental health
Mental health is one of the most important issues of our time. I had a call to action to help our little ones who are suffering debilitating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and in some cases suicide.
Why don’t we teach children about their brain and how it works to give more context to their emotions? We need tools to self-regulate our high-velocity emotions that get in the way of higher thinking and decision-making.
Working with some of the best minds in neuroscience, positive psychology and education, I founded MindUP in 2003 to address this growing crisis.
These are our children, they are our future. It’s time to advocate for preventative mental health programs in every school.
Join me in helping our communities thrive by educating the heart and the mind with MindUP. Brain fitness for all!

"Teachers have to help children get to a better place and that's what MindUP is giving us because as they're learning about how to do this program, they are also learning about themselves. That's what I keep hearing from the teachers. Like, wow, I never thought of that and I really like doing this exercise. It calms me down in the morning and lets me focus on how I'm going to approach the children that day. "
