With over 40 years of experience as an educator, Mort Sherman served as a superintendent of schools, a principal, and a classroom teacher. As a superintendent of schools for 25 years, his experience in raising academic standards, closing achievement gaps, and uniting stakeholders has always focused on meeting the needs of all students. Among his many honors and appointments, Sherman serves on several boards and commissions. He is a nationally recognized leader in education, speaking frequently about children’s mental health, student achievement, curriculum and staff development. He has written and published more than 400 articles, and recently published a book on Personalized Learning in the 21st Century. He is the Associate Executive Director of AASA The School Superintendents Association.
