The MindUP Program
Simple to implement and evidence-based, MindUP is built upon four pillars to promote positive mental health and well-being.
MindUP Research Pillars: Benefits
MindUP infuses developmental neuroscience, mindful awareness practice, social emotional learning, and positive psychology to foster children’s well-being and resiliency.
MindUP teaches children about the brain. Understanding the structure of the brain and how it functions gives children a sense of control and empowerment.
Students regularly practice a “brain break,” a mindful awareness practice. Mindfulness-based practices have been shown to increase mental health and improve emotion regulation.
People who can regulate their emotions are more likely to show empathy and to act prosocially towards others.
MindUP infuses strategies derived from the science of happiness to provide children with skills to foster well-being and happiness.
Research has revealed that positive emotions lead to a broader scope of attention and greater motivation.
