MindUP in Portugal: Assessing MindUP with Teacher SEL Training
This quasi-experimental study of 454 3rd & 4th grade students and 20 teachers, investigated MindUP in combination with a 50-hour course for teachers on MindUP and Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Results showed that 50% of MindUP children increased in regulation of emotions, positive affect, and self-compassion, and decreased negative emotions. Teachers also reported Improvements to their own well-being following the implementation of MindUP in their classrooms.
