Board Director
MindUP™ | The Goldie Hawn Foundation
Aryn Grossman began working at Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) in 1994 as an intern, and by 2002, was promoted to the role of Executive Vice President/Chief of Staff. Her responsibilities included managing media relations, crisis management and day to day operations. She focused on Technology, Real Estate, Entertainment, and Politics, amongst others. She retired from public relations in 2005 to prioritize starting a family and to pursue her interests in various nonprofit board and leadership roles.
From 2011-2019, Aryn was an active member of the Board of Directors at The David Lynch Foundation (DLF,) chairing the Development Committee and served on the Programs Committee. She was elected to the role of Chairman of the Board in 2016 and served in this capacity until 2019. As Chairman, Aryn initiated and expanded committees, which included the implementation of governance compliance for the Board and the foundation overall. Her close working relationship with DLF’s CEO helped the foundation to grow its endowment, get Transcendental Meditation into the hands of the neediest populations, all while decreasing the operating budged of the foundation. She currently serves on the board of directors for The Allen Stevenson School in New York City, the school where her three sons attend.
Past philanthropic projects have included the building of Fairfield County Hospice House in CT alongside her father, the creation of a Maternal Fetal Healthcare Fund for expectant mothers at Lennox Hill Hospital in NYC, the Young Friends Board at Mount Sinai Hospital (NYC,) among others.
Aryn received her BA from Boston University with a degree in Communications and Sociology. She resides in New York City with her three sons (Ace 13; Leo 9; Grey 9) and spends time with her boys in Big Sky, MT, where she also has a home. She is an avid skier, golfer and hiker. Aryn and the boys enjoy their time and exposure to culture while in the city and equally enjoy and require the calming that nature provides for them.
