Dr. Jacqueline L. Sanderlin has over 30 years of experience as an educator in grades K-12. She has successfully served as a special education teacher, curriculum specialist, principal, after-school administrator, district administrator, and executive director of school and community engagement. Her work with school-community partnerships has led to dramatic improvements in some of Southern California’s most challenged schools. She is a national speaker and author of The Why Not Challenge: Say “Yes” to School and Community Partnerships. She provides professional learning workshops to educators and leaders about building school-community partnerships, educational equity, social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices and restorative practices. She is a board member for MindUp | The Goldie Hawn Foundation and Steering Committee member for SEL4CA (Social Emotional Learning Alliance for California). In 2018, Dr. Sanderlin founded a consulting firm, the Why Not Incubator.
