The lead author of the Goldie Hawn Foundation’s MindUP program. Molly is an expert in child and adolescent social and emotional development. She has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Doctorate in Human Development, Learning and Culture from the University of British Columbia. Molly’s research includes the investigation of mindfulness and psychological adjustment in children and adolescents, and evaluations of social emotional learning programs for children and adolescents in school settings. Molly has published several articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, and chapters in edited books. She has given numerous presentations at academic conferences, and professional development sessions for educators. Molly met Goldie in 2004, and was inspired to help her fulfill her vision to give all children an evidence-based program that would give children tools for joy and resilience. In her role, Molly innovates the MindUP program by integrating the latest research and best practice to ensure all children can acquire skills for mindful awareness, kindness, compassion, and resiliency.
