Sir Ken Robinson, PhD was an internationally recognized leader in the development of education, creativity and innovation. The embodiment of the prestigious TED Conference and its commitment to spreading new ideas, Sir Ken Robinson was the most watched speaker in TED’s history. His 2006 talk, “Do Schools Kill Creativity?” has been viewed online over 50 million times and seen by an estimated 350 million people in 160 countries. For twelve years, he was professor of arts education at the University of Warwick in the UK and professor emeritus. He received honorary degrees from universities in the US and the UK. He was honored with the Athena Award of the Rhode Island School of Design for services to the arts and education; the Peabody Medal for contributions to the arts and culture in the United States; the LEGO Prize for international achievement in education; and the Benjamin Franklin Medal of the Royal Society of Arts for outstanding contributions to cultural relations between the United Kingdom and the United States.
